Ensuring Excellent Health & Safety Practices in the Field

SiteWise is a prequalification system that grades a contractor’s health & safety capability and publishes that grade in a database that can be viewed by the main contractor and principal organisations. This allows for better contractor selection and an easier tendering process for everyone involved.

At Team Vegetation we provide contract commercial vegetation services like tree work, mowing and spraying. Each of these services has in-built dangers which we are very aware of. We operate potentially dangerous machinery and handle various lethal chemicals each and every day. Working as contractors, we are invited onto other people’s land or operate on public roads or public land and therefore we understand that our employers need to know that we are acting responsibly. 

Sitewise has been recognised as New Zealand’s premier certification for many years. We complete the  Sitewise certification so that we can be confident we’re all working to relevant safety standards and so that our customers can rest assured we are doing things right.

The whole team has worked really hard over the last few months in an effort to take us from Sitewise Green to Sitewise Gold. The effort and result are testament to the importance we place on health and safety in our organisation.

All contractors who sign up to the SiteWise system complete an annual health and safety assessment with the goal of achieving SiteWise Green or Gold status. A gold grading in SiteWise means you’ve achieved a grade of 90% or above on your annual assessment.

This year we placed even more importance on improving our score and we’re delighted to have been awarded the Gold standard.  

What does getting gold mean?

• We have demonstrated that we have high quality health and safety systems in place.
• We are listed as a gold business in the Sitewise database which can be reviewed by any future customers looking for qualified contractors.
• We are now able to show our Gold certificate on our website and showcase this to future customers.
